finding your voicetldr; founder-led thought leadership is your key to growth in 2025. but the brands that win big with this strategy will be those based in authenticity. learn how to create a personal brand that drives business while remaining true to you! 2025 is the year of founder-led thought leadership. as a founder, you’ve probably spent your fair share of time networking on LinkedIn and other social media apps. has it grown your business? yes! but have you been enjoying it? making genuine connections? if you’ve had a similar experience to me, the answer is 🤷♀️ “kinda.” well now that it’s 2025, it’s time to find your voice, make genuine connections and grow your brand. because the truth is, if you’re not enjoying your time being social on social media, your prospects are DEFINETLY going to pick up on that. consumers are tired of hearing the same fluff marketing messages brands have been sharing since 2020; they want something FRESH. and the good news is that fresh means YOU. creating an authentic personal brand is something I’ve personally been struggling with since the beginning of 2024. I’ve carefully created this “corporate professional” persona online that I thought would make me more appealing to the founders I work with. and while that strategy worked… being less polished and more authentic online works better. but getting to this place took trial & error, and I want to help you bypass some of that process. here’s what I’ve learned: take baby stepsI started with one new platform (threads) to test my new tone of voice & value pillars. try different thingsbecause your testing platform is new, you’ll have a “clean slate” to try new things. it will be awkward at first, but the more you try, the more you’ll hone your authentic personal brand! don’t be afraid to deletetried something new just to find out you didn’t like it? just delete it. creating a personal brand takes a lot more trial and error than your business brand. learn why it wasn’t right for you, and keep experimenting in a new direction! give it timeit took me a few months to get my tone of voice right before rolling out to a wider audience. all good things take time; especially your personal brand. start nowthis year founder-led thought leadership is NOT optional if you want to grow your brand. it takes some time to get dialed in - so let this be your sign to start now.
